For a child’s transition into school to be successful, Can Speak and Fun Play Laughter are offering a School Readiness Program to develop skills in social communication, language, emotional development, fine motor, handwriting, drawing age appropriate shapes, gross motor skills and literacy.
The program will help your child develop the appropriate skills required for optimal learning when they begin school.
More specifically, this program aims to provide children with opportunities to improve their confidence in following routines, learning and working in small groups, interacting with peers, following instructions, engaging with narratives, and developing preliteracy skills.
These activities will be carried out in a classroom-like model, with small group and self-directed tasks being completed on the floor or table.
The group cost can be claimed using your NDIS funding package however it is recommended you confirm with your NDIS Local Area Coordinator if your funding will cover group therapy.
A pre-program interview may also be scheduled in the weeks before the course commences to ensure suitability at a cost of $50.
